The MurthyNAYAK Foundation is pleased to announce its association with Aperture Foundation. We began our relationship formally by funding the installation of Legends Never Die, A Collective Memory, an exhibition by Guadalupe Rosales (20 Sep-20 Oct, 2018). We have also funded Aperture Conversations: Earth (22 Apr 2019), a free program celebrating the “Earth” issue of Aperture magazine, asking how aesthetics shape our understanding of ecological concerns.

Since 1952, Aperture has been connecting inspiring photography with the community through print, programs, and its online presence. This nonprofit foundation was founded by leading photographers and writers Ansel Adams, Dorothea Lange, Nancy and Beaumont Newhall, and Minor White, among others. Aperture publishes books on photography and photographers at the heart of the history and evolution of the medium. It also puts out a quarterly magazine, and the biannual PhotoBook Review. Aperture offers artist workshops, organizes traveling exhibitions, artists’ talks, lectures, and programs.

We are proud to support good work of Aperture. Vasant Nayak began serving on the Aperture board in 2020. We know the vital role photography plays in exposing the world’s greatest areas of need, and the efforts of NGOs and nonprofits to address these.
