Ketaki Sheth

Ketaki Sheth was born in Mumbai and began photographing the streets there in the 1980s. She has published four books, including PHOTO STUDIO (2018) – her first in color. Her work has been exhibited in India as well as overseas. She is recipient of the Sanskriti Award for Indian Photography and the Higashikawa Award in Japan. Her work is in the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai, Museum of Modern Art and The Metropolitan Museum in New York, Peabody Essex and The Fogg Museum in Boston, Fondazione Modena in Milan, and the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art in New Delhi, among others. She continues to live and work in Mumbai.

 

Sheth has undertaken a photographic project that was initiated during the lockdown. She is represented by PHOTOINK, New Delhi, and lives and works in Mumbai.
