VII Academy Supported

As the educational wing of The VII Foundation, VII Academy promotes, teaches, and fosters high-quality journalism. They provide real-world, tuition-free training and practice as a new generation of journalists and visual practitioners build a contemporary global media environment. The academy teaches and mentors visual journalists across media practice, photojournalism, ethics, and media entrepreneurship.

Through their teaching and by providing scholarships, on-campus seminars, and vocational workshops, the VII Academy creates a valuable mentorship network between seasoned veterans and talented young visual journalists from the Majority World and underrepresented G20 countries. PhotoSouthAsia, and initiative of the MurthyNAYAK Foundation, is proud to contribute generously to the visa and travel costs for two photographers from India to attend the in-person Level 3 Seminar to be held in Arles, France, June/July 2023.
