The MurthyNAYAK Foundation is proud to support two awards for graduating students in photography at NID. Two graduating students in Photography Design will receive these awards at NID’s annual convocation ceremony in Jan/Feb 2021.
Projects that will be considered for this award will ask the tough questions and expose important social and cultural issues in the subcontinent. Exceptional projects in any other noncommercial domains, such as history, politics, and fiction, may also be considered. Projects may be rooted in social documentary traditions, or reflect new media, or interdisciplinary approaches. Other conditions apply. Students are encouraged to get the full details from the Photography Design faculty at NID.
Photography Design is one of NID’s 19 Master of Design (M.Des.) programs, offered on the Gandhinagar campus. The focus of the program is guiding students toward an understanding of the dynamics at the core of photography and its vital role in our modern culture. The program encourages students to explore cross disciplinary approaches, and eschew formulaic methodologies. The MurthyNAYAK Foundation is proud to be associated with this NID program.
