I have been photographing Pestonjee since 2013. He is now 92 years old and lives alone in the Parsi colony near Soldier Bazaar in Karachi. The photographs show him living his life on a daily basis and give a glimpse of how the old adjust to the feeling of fading away and to that of survival, at the same time. Parsis, as a race, exist in a very small number in Pakistan and approximately only a total of 900 survive today. My project is an attempt at the past looking into the future. This work was published as a book in December 2019.
