PhotoSouthAsia (PSA), a project of the MurthyNAYAK Foundation, is proud to support the development of a new app: ASAP Connect. The brainchild of Rahaab Allana, PhotoSouthAsia is proud to have helped bring to life this app is “an editorially driven application for lens-based practices with a focus on South Asia.” The plan is to provide short pieces that comment on current lens-based art and artists, books, exhibits, and other events in the world of photography and image-making.
By funding projects such as ASAP Connect, PSA aims to highlight important issues, transforming ignorance and apathy into concern and action. If a picture was once worth a thousand words, social media has increased that exponentially. It is our goal to support emerging artists producing socially relevant work that will raise awareness, sustain involvement, and ignite social change.
